4 QUICK TIPS TO MAKE YOUR
TRAVEL SEASON BETTER

by Robbie Imes, 5 min read

The holiday season has arrived (if you can believe it) and travel is on everyone’s mind. From road trips to air travel, families and friends will gather this year in both near and faraway places. Highways will be congested, airports will be bustling and hotels will be booked out for weeks. After postponing travel in years past, this season is going to be a busy one.

Trips big or small can be stressful, though, and that’s the opposite of what we want the holidays to be. Given that travel was limited due to the pandemic, some of us also might’ve simply forgotten the basics when gearing up for a trip.

Not to worry, we’ve got four easy tips for you to remember when you are traveling so that you can keep organized and sane for a great holiday.

Make a list

This one seems obvious, but many people just don’t respect the power of a list. Use a pen and paper, write things down and check them off one-by-one. Packing your favorite sweater? Rounding up your power cords?

Don’t forget the dog treats! The Notes app in your phone is the key to a less stressful, more organized holiday. This is the safest – and simplest – way to make sure you haven’t forgotten Kevin (that’s a Home Alone joke).

Don’t stress about cameras because your phone has one

Traditional cameras are bulky. When you are packing, you’ll need plenty of space. If you have an iPhone 14 Pro, you already have 12 MP photos with improved lighting.

Bonus: Use ProRAW to capture full 48 MP photos. There is also a new zoom between wide 1x and telephoto 3x. Ditch traditional cameras and rely on your iPhone to capture great moments.

New features allow video to shine brighter

In addition to an improvement camera, the iPhone 14 has another trick up its sleeve – this one is for video. The new Action Mode on the iPhone 14 gives you smooth, crisp videos without all the extra gear (like a gimbal stabilizer).

Even with motion shots of families that just won’t sit still, you’ll get the shot crystal clear. Taking a road trip? Document with confidence and capture your memories worry-free.

Better battery life

No one wants to wait for their phone to charge. There’s food to cook, people to visit, places to be. A portable charger can give you the assurance you’re looking for, and with iPhone 14, you’ll worry even less with its improved battery life.

Apple is always looking for smart ways to keep your life moving, and battery life is usually top of mind. Watch more movies and listen to more music without stress.

One more bonus

New and improved Apple Maps gives you multiple views now, such as 3D, so you can visualize your journey in cool, different ways. It’s as much a safety feature as it is a tool to help make navigating that much easier. Landmarks pop and roads seem less of a surprise with the latest update to Maps.

And there you have it – four simple tips that can take your holiday to the next level.
