Amidst the chaos of the season, sometimes you just want to tune out and chill. That’s what TV is for. But there’s just so much to watch, sometimes it’s hard to decide. You can narrow down the choices to streaming services, but the content can be all over the map.

While over 200 new Christmas movies were added to IMDB this year, you might have an inclination to steer away from the yuletide tales as December 25th nears. We’re here to help! These shows are best to watch in one sitting, taking you on a rollercoaster of feelings – good, bad and everything in between. These series are easy — and fun — to binge over the long holiday weekends.

1   Schitt's Creek

If you haven’t already seen this, shame. It’s one of the most joyful character narratives to have graced the small screen. The characters are charming, funny, and most of all, outlandishly relatable (in their eccentricities). The holidays are a great time to binge this fun, feel-good comedy.

You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you'll start talking like Moira Rose.

2  And Just Like That...

The ladies are back and nothing can get in their way. Years after Sex and the City ended, we were left with a giant Big Apple-shaped hole in our hearts for the hilarious foursome. Now just threesome, they’re all grown up, and while the city might’ve changed, the ladies are somewhat the same as they navigate life while growing older. It’s great to revisit old friends!

3   The Mandalorian

People have been talking about this surprise hit since its debut. With the mysterious main character and, more famously, baby Yoda, nostalgia meets modern times in unexpected ways. This generational bridge is fun, exciting and holiday ready for the whole family. Get the popcorn because this is as binge-able as it gets!

4  Love Life: Season 2

You can go right into Season 2 because it’s not narratively tethered to Season 1. There are brand new characters and issues with love, life and the pursuit of happiness in NYC. This is a great holiday show to binge because it’s layered with good moments, high and lows, and ultimately feels familiar in so many ways. Take a risk with Love Life

5  Succession

‘Tis the season to be vindictive. A family’s media empire is at the center of the feuding brood, with more than their fair share of dirty secrets and misplaced emotions. The dialogue is cutting, as are the motivations behind these devious characters. Veteran actor Brian Cox leads the Emmy-worthy cast, who take this show to the next level. Push up to the edge of your seat and see who gets the riches next.

If Machiavellian family battles are your thing, then you will fall in love with Succession.

6  We're Here

In a power move to claim the crown in the world of drag queen TV, HBO Max came along with We’re Here, a moving – and essential – reality show exposing America and its prejudices, which ultimately illuminates how we can heal.

While viewers may have settled in a for a good time with Drag Race queens Shangela, Eureka!, and Bob the Drag Queen, what they stay for is a well-made and touching look at who we are as humans, and what we can do to become better. Each episode is something to remember.
